ANKARA (AA) - Student protests in Colombia's capital injured at least five people Wednesday when demonstrators clashed with police, media reports said.
Students in Bogota have been demonstrating against alleged corruption of President Ivan Duque's government since Monday, according to the Colombian News.
The situation got out of control on the third day with more student participation from several colleges.
Police interfered with the protests as some turned into full-blown riots.
Clashes between police and students are the second this year and the third since Duque took office last year. Violent repression of public protests has increased significantly since the president assumed his post.
Colombian government announced the attorney general will speed up investigations to identify those responsible for inciting violence and generating public order disruptions.
