COVID-19 cases top 168,000 in Palestine

Coronavirus kills 30, sickens 978 in Palestine in last 24 hours

JERUSALEM, Palestine (AA) - Palestine on Wednesday confirmed 30 fatalities from COVID-19 and 978 infections within the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said 21 deaths were recorded in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, while nine fatalities were registered in the Gaza Strip.

Some 93 patients are receiving treatment in intensive care units, including 25 on ventilators.

The new figures pushed Palestine's confirmed case count to 168,652, including 1,814 deaths, and 152,504 recoveries.
