Credit Suisse sees net loss widening in Q1

Swiss global investment bank's revenue falls 42% year-on-year

ANKARA (AA) - Swiss global investment bank and financial services firm Credit Suisse saw its net loss widening in the first quarter of 2022, according to its financial results statement released on Wednesday.

Zurich-based bank's net loss attributable to shareholders rose to 273 million Swiss francs ($282 million) in the first three months of this year.

Its net loss stood at 252 million Swiss francs ($260 million) during the same period of 2021.

The bank, on the other hand, posted a revenue of 4.4 billion Swiss francs ($4.5 billion) in the January-March period of this year.

This, however, marked a 42% decline from almost 7.6 billion Swiss francs ($7.8 billion) year-on-year.
