ANKARA (AA) - Turkish prosecutors have determined that the Daesh/ISIS terror group draws lots to decide those who would be used as suicide bombers.

Russian national Ayshat Rzaeva was caught in Ankara in 2021 while being sought on an Interpol Red Notice on the grounds that she is a member of the terror group.

An indictment filed by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Rzaeva said the organization determined those who would carry out suicide bombings by casting lots, citing digital materials obtained from the suspect.

A large sum of money, organizational documents, digital materials and fake Syrian identity cards were seized at the house where Rzaeva was caught.

It was determined that the suspect, who had videos and pictures showing actions of the terror group on her phone, is on the "foreign terrorist fighter list" obtained from Russian authorities.

Noting there are many organizational documents, videos and photographs belonging to Daesh/ISIS on the mobile phone of the suspect, the indictment said: "It was also seen that there was footage showing the drawing of lots to determine the members of the terrorist organization who would carry out the suicide bombing action, as well as recordings showing the moment of an attack with a vehicle."

The indictment demanded that the suspect be sentenced to seven years, six months to 15 years in prison for "membership in an armed terrorist organization."

The indictment was accepted by the Ankara 26th High Criminal Court.
