ANKARA (AA) - Kevin Durant scored a season-high 51 points as his team Brooklyn Nets toppled the Detroit Pistons 116-104 in a Sunday NBA game.

Durant gave massive support to Brooklyn in this game that the Nets rested another team superstar James Harden.

The Nets earned their 19th win to lead the Eastern Conference. They have eight losses in the 2021-22 regular season.

Brooklyn superstar Durant, a two-time NBA champion, displayed one of his best performances in Detroit as the 33-year-old forward previously scored at least 50 points six times in his 13-year NBA experience.

In addition to his 51 points, Durant made nine assists.

The Pistons were leading the game 91-86 by the end of the third quarter.

But Durant-led Nets have shown significant performance in the fourth quarter against them at Little Caesars Arena as the visitors scored 30 points.

Durant scored from the free-throw line to make the score 102-92 for Brooklyn with 7:02 left. It was one of the turning points for the winners as the gap was double-digit after his score.

The Nets have never looked back in the fourth period as Durant scored a jump shot to give his team a 16-point lead with 1:20 left to the buzzer, 116-100.
