Economic morale in Türkiye down in June
Economic confidence index falls 2.5% from month earlier, official data shows

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye’s economic confidence index decreased in June compared to the previous month, according to official data released on Friday.
The index dropped 2.5% month-on-month to 101.1 in June, following a 1.4% rise in May, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed.
The construction confidence index fell 3.5% from a month ago to 88.9 in June, while the consumer confidence index plunged 6.5% to 85.1.
The confidence index for retail trade, on the other hand, rose 0.9% to 117.7 in the same period.
The services and real sector – manufacturing industry – confidence indexes were both up 0.6% each to reach 118.1 and 105.7, respectively.
A rating above 100 indicates an optimistic outlook for the overall economic situation, while a value below 100 suggests a negative assessment.
