Economists expect Türkiye's August inflation figure to rise

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's annual inflation rate is projected to rise to 81.65% in August, an Anadolu Agency survey found Thursday.

The figure was 79.6% in July.

A group of 14 economists forecast that monthly inflation will average 2.27%, varying between 1.65% and 3.50%.

The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce February's consumer prices index on Sept. 5.

Year-end inflation expectations rose from 70.46% to 72.35%.
