Erdogan participates in Anadolu Agency's photo contest

ANKARA (AA) – President Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in Anadolu Agency`s Photo of the Year contest in Ankara on Thursday, voting in favor of three photos in the news, life and sports categories.

In the news category, Erdogan voted for Kayhan Ozer's photo titled "Democracy and Martyrs' Meeting", which was taken at the Yenikapi rally against the defeated coup last July.

In the life category, the president voted for Cem Genco`s photo that showed Gozyasi Nasir lying next to her father Mamum Halid Nasil who lost his legs, right hand and fingers, eyes and hearing in a barrel bomb attack carried out by the Bashar al-Assad regime.

In the sports category, Erdogan voted for Bukent Doruk`s photo which showed the staff and coach of Besiktas J.K`s team as they celebrated their victory after a Turkish Spor Toto Super Lig soccer match against Osmanlispor at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul.
