Eritrea reports its first COVID-19 death
Number of recoveries nears 600, while there are over 830 confirmed cases, says Information Ministry

ISTANBUL (AA) – The East African nation of Eritrea has recorded its first death from the novel coronavirus, its Information Ministry said Tuesday.
“A 50-year-old male patient who was receiving medical treatment for COVID-19 at a hospital in Decamere has passed away,” the ministry said in a statement.
The number of recovered patients in the country stands at 599, while there are a total of 832 confirmed cases, it added.
