EU construction production annually expands 4.1% in March

ANKARA (AA) - Production in the construction sector increased by 4.1% in the EU during March, compared to the same month a year ago, according to data released by the bloc's statistical office on Thursday.

Production in the construction industry expanded by 3.3% in the euro area during March, from the same month of last year, according to Eurostat.

On a monthly basis, production in the construction sector remained stable in the euro area, while it increased by 0.2% in the EU during March, compared to the previous month.

The highest annual increases in construction production were observed in Poland with a 27.7% gain, followed by Slovenia at 12.3%.

The largest declines annually were recorded in Spain with a 7.7% contraction, followed by Belgium at 2.2%.
