Euro area industrial output posts annual rise in August
Industrial production grows most in Belgium (29.9%), Ireland (22.1%), Lithuania (15.4%), Eurostat says

ANKARA (AA) - Industrial production in Europe increased year-on-year this August, the EU's statistical authority said on Wednesday.
The reading was up 5.1% in the eurozone and 5.3% in the EU27 from the same month of last year, Eurostat said in a statement.
Among member states for which data is available, Belgium (up 29.9%), Ireland (22.1%), and Lithuania (15.4%) saw the greatest annual rises in industrial output in August.
The steepest declines in the reading were in Portugal (7.2%), Malta (4.2%), and Czechia (1.4%) during the same period.
On a monthly basis, industrial output fell across the continent, Eurostat data showed.
"In August 2021, the seasonally adjusted industrial production fell by 1.6% in the euro area and by 1.5% in the EU, compared with July 2021," it said.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced on Tuesday that Industrial output in Turkey improved by 5.4% month-on-month in August and 13.8% annually.
