Europa League: Trabzonspor lose to Basel in dead rubber

Switzerland's Basel beat Trabzonspor 2-0, Turkish club finish Group C with 1 point

ANKARA (AA) - Swiss football team Basel defeated Turkish club Trabzonspor 2-0, as they qualified for the UEFA Europa League's Round of 32 as group leaders.

Basel managed to get the win, thanks to goals by Silvan Widmer and Valentin Stocker at St. Jakob-Park Stadium.

Trabzonspor completed the Group C with five defeats and one draw, without a win.

In the other group game, Spanish team Getafe beat Russian's Krasnodar 3-0 to advance to the Round of 32.

The final standings in the Group C are as follows:

In addition, with Basel and Getafe, ten more teams qualified for the round of 32, namely Sevilla, Malmo, LASK Linz, Celtic and Arsenal as group winners, Eintracht Frankfurt, APOEL, Sporting Lisbon, Cluj, Copenhagen as group runners-up.
