European markets close day in positive territory

ISTANBUL (AA) - Major European markets closed Monday in the positive territory.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, earned 3.89 points, or 0.96%, to end the day at 407.14.

The UK's FTSE 100 index was up 105.56, or 1.5%, to 7,121.81 points.

Germany's DAX 30 also rose 1.06%, or 139.34 points, to 13,265.60, while France's CAC 40 increased 0.64%, or 37.44 points, to 5,920.09.

Italy's FTSE MIB gained 215.18 points, or 0.99%, to stand at 22,004.05.

Spain's IBEX 35 increased by 140.1 points, or 1.72%, to 8,286.
