European markets close Thursday in negative side

ISTANBUL (AA) – All European stock markets closed Thursday with decreases, with most of them falling more than 1%.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, dropped 4.33 points, or 0.94%, to close at 455.86.

The UK’s FTSE 100 index ended at 7,515 points, down 63.07 points, or 0.83%.

Germany’s DAX 30 was down 1.31%, or 191.3 points, to 14,414, while France’s CAC 40 slipped 1.21%, or by 81.72 points, to 6,659.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was slightly down by 278.99 points, or 1.1%, to end the day at 25,021, while Spain’s IBEX 35 lost 105.5 points, or 1.23%, to close at 8,445 points.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 2,233.30 points, up 0.14% from the previous close.

Stock markets in Asia closed Thursday on a low note amid China's weak manufacturing data and fading hopes for peace between Russia and Ukraine.
