European markets close week up

ISTANBUL (AA) – Major European indices ended with gains on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, on Tuesday earned 9.08 points, or 2.14%, to close at 433.48 points.

The UK’s FTSE 100 index was up 148.81 points, or 2.55%, to 7,418 points at close.

Germany’s DAX 30 rose 2.1%, or 288.29 points, to 14,027, while France’s CAC 40 increased 2.52%, or 156.42 points, to 6,362.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was up 482.06 points, or 2.05%, to end the day at 24,048, and Spain’s IBEX 35 closed the day at 8,338 points after rising 137.7 points, or 1.68%.

At Friday's close, most Asian stock markets also closed with gains. Turkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul rose 1.18% to close at 2,419.23 points.
