European markets gain more than 1.3% each to bounce back from previous losses

Italy's FTSE MIB 30 performs best, adding 475 points, or 1.82%

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed higher Tuesday as indices gained more than 1.3% apiece to bounce back from the previous day's losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 6.64 points, or 1.42%, to 473.99 after losing 1.38% on Monday.

London's FTSE 100 added 99 points, or 1.38%, to end at 7,297 after falling 0.99% in the previous session. Germany's DAX 30 rose 207 points, or 1.36%, to close at 15,447 after plummeting 1.88% the previous day.

France's CAC 40 increased 94 points, or 1.38%, to 6,965, recovering from a Monday decline of 0.82%.

Italy's FTSE MIB 30 was the best performer of the day, adding 475 points, or 1.82%, to close at 26,653. It fell 1.63% on Monday.

Spain's IBEX 35 increased 145 points, or 1.76%, to finish at 8,387 after falling 0.83% in the last session.
