European stock exchanges close Monday higher

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed higher on Monday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, rose 0.72 point, or 0.16%, to finish at 460.73.

The UK's FTSE 100 added eight points, or 0.11%, to end the session at 7,570. France's CAC 40, meanwhile, increased 37 points, or 0.52%, to close at 7,250.

Germany's DAX 30 was the best performer of the day, rising 148 points, or 0.93%, to 16,097.

Italy's FTSE MIB rose 248 points, or 0.91%, to 27,410. Spain's IBEX 35 added 34 points, or 0.37%, to end the day at 9,344.
