European stock exchanges end Friday mixed

Italy's FTSE MIB performs worst, falling 0.33%; Germany's DAX best performer with 0.39% gain

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed mixed on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, fell 0.96 point, or 0.2%, to finish at 470.78.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, trimming 97 points, or 0.33%, to 29,500. Spain's IBEX 35 shed 9.6 points, or 0.1%, to end the day at 9,685.

The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, was down only 1.5 points, or 0.02%, to end the session flat at 7,694.

France's CAC 40, meanwhile, increased 11 points, or 0.15%, to close at 7,476.

Germany's DAX was the best performer of the day, rising 63 points, or 0.39%, to finish the week at 16,469.
