European stock markets close higher on Friday

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed with gains on Friday, bouncing back from previous day's losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 5.95 points, or 1.31%, to finish at 460.97 points.

London's FTSE 100 added 117 points, or 1.56%, to 7,669, while Germany's DAX 30 gained 205 points, or 1.46%, to end the day at 14,283.

France's CAC 40 increased 86 points, or 1.34%, to close at 6,548.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, rising 516 points, or 2.13%, to 24,819.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 139 points, or 1.64%, to end the day at 8,606.
