European stock markets close higher on Monday

ANKARA (AA) - Major European stock markets closed higher on Monday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, increased nearly 4 points, or 0.84%, to 462 points as of 1620GMT.

London's FTSE 100 gained 21 points, or 0.28%, to finish at 7,558.

Germany's DAX 30 added some 72 points, or 0.50%, to end the day at 14,518, while France's CAC 40 was up 47 points, or 0.70%, to 6,731.

Italy's FTSE MIB rose slightly by 12.6 points, or 0.05%, to close at 25,176.

Spain's IBEX 35 went up by 17 points, or 0.20%, to 8,520.
