UK’s FTSE performs best with 0.89% gain

ANKARA (AA) - European stock exchanges on Monday closed the first trading day of the week on a mixed note.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 2.18 points, or 0.54%, to finish the day at 409.31.

The UK’s FTSE was the best performer of the day by rising 64 points, or 0.89%, to end the day at 7,232.

France’s CAC 40 added 23 points, or 0.4%, to 5,954.

Germany’s DAX 30, on the other hand, was the worst performer by falling 39 points, or 0.31%, to close at 12,773.

Italy’s FTSE MIB decreased 10 points, or 0.05%, to finish at 21,343.

Spain’s IBEX 35 declined 14 points, or 0.17%, to 8,161.
