European stock markets close mixed

ANKARA (AA) - European stock closed mixed Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 0.70 points, or 0.16%, to finish at 432.05.

France's CAC 40 was the day's best performer, soaring 24.7 points, or 0.39%, to end at 6,386.

Italy's FTSE MIB rose 51.4 points, or 0.23%, to 22,431.

Germany's DAX 30 rose 25.8 points, or 0.20%, to close at 13,220.

Spain's IBEX 35, on the other hand, was down 26.9 points, or 0.33%, to 8,199 at the closing bell.

The UK's FTSE 100 fell 16.6 points, or 0.22%, to finish at 7,471.
