European stock markets close Tuesday mixed

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed mixed on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down by 2.02 points, or 0.49%, to finish the day at 417.04.

The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 13 points, or 0.18%, to close at 7,209, while Germany’s DAX 30 added 73 points, or 0.57%, to 12,905.

France’s CAC 40 was the best performer of the day, rising 47 points, or 0.8%, to 6,044.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, fell 82 points, or 0.38%, to end the day at 21,485.

Spain’s IBEX 35 declined 50 points, or 0.62%, to finish at 8,014.
