European stock markets close Wednesday lower

France's CAC 40 performs worst, plummeting 0.43%

ANKARA (AA) - European stock markets closed with losses on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 2.11 points, or 0.53%, to end the day at 397.73.

The UK's FTSE 100 decreased 11 points, or 0.17%, to finish the session at 6,925. Germany's DAX 30 fell 24 points, or 0.19%, to end at 12,741.

France's CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 26 points, or 0.43%, to 6,040.

Italy's FTSE MIB shed 46 points, or 0.22%, to 21,472.

Spain's IBEX 35 trimmed 27 points, or 0.36%, to close at 7,583.
