European stock markets down at open

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges were weaker at Thursday’s open.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 0.2% to 396.8 points.

After a record high producer price index – 45.8% – in Germany, DAX 30 lost 0.4% to 12,684 points.

France’s CAC 40 was the only index posting an increase, up 0.3% to 6,059 points.​​​​​​​

The UK’s FTSE 100 index dropped 0.1% to 6,916 points.

Italy’s FTSE MIB went down 0.2% to 21,448 points, and Spain’s IBEX 35 lost 0.2% to 7,568 points.
