European stock markets end Thursday higher

Italy's FTSE MIB performs best with surge of 637 points, or 3.05%

ANKARA (AA) – European stock exchanges closed higher on Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up by 7.67 points, or 1.88%, to finish the day at 415.01.

The UK’s FTSE 100 rose 81 points, or 1.14%, to 7,189, while Germany’s DAX 30 gained 248 points, or 1.97%, to close at 12,843.

France’s CAC 40 increased by 94 points, or 1.6%, to 6,006.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, surging 637 points, or 3.05%, to finish at 21,558.

Spain’s IBEX 35 rose by 173 points, or 2.19%, to end the day at 8,122.
