European stock markets end Wednesday mixed

France’s CAC 40 performs worst shedding 0.17%, Spain’s IBEX 35 performs best, rising 0.52%

ANKARA (AA) – European stock markets closed mixed on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 1.27 points, or 0.3%, to 420.34.

The UK’s FTSE 100 decreased nine points, or 0.14%, to finish the third trading day of the week at 7,296. Germany’s DAX 30 fell 22 points, or 0.16%, to close at 13,666.

France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, shedding 10 points, or 0.17%, to end the day at 6,430.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 85 points, or 0.36%, to 23,730.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, rising 41 points, or 0.52%, to reach 8,040 at the closing bell.
