European stock markets higher at Friday's open
All major European indices post rises amid positive signs on euro/dollar parity, hawkish guidance from European Central Bank

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges were higher at Friday's open amid positive signals on the euro/US dollar parity and hawkish guidance from the European Central Bank.
On Thursday, the euro/dollar exchange rate increased by 0.8% to end the day 0.9820.
On Friday, EU member states will discuss measures against rising energy prices.
The pan-European STOXX 600 was up by 0.68% to 385.5 points, while the UK's FTSE 100 index fell 0.21% to 6,896 points.
Germany's DAX 30 was down by 0.69% to 12,057 points, and France's CAC 40 rose 0.71% to 5.717 points.
Italy's FTSE MIB declined 0.92% to 20,541 points, while Spain's IBEX 35 fell 0.57 to 7,342 points.
