ANKARA (AA) - European stocks opened mixed on Monday ahead of the release of flash data on euro area inflation and gross domestic product (GDP).

The EU's statistical office Eurostat is set to announce the consumer price index for October and third-quarter GDP growth later in the day.

In September, euro area inflation hit 9.9%, with soaring energy and food prices, supply bottlenecks, and the post-pandemic demand recovery causing price pressures.

Last week, the European Central Bank hiked rates by 75 basis points, its third major increase in a row, bringing borrowing costs to their highest level in more than a decade to tackle record eurozone inflation.

The STOXX Europe 600 index was up 0.14% to 410.76 points, while Germany's DAX 40 index increased 0.24% to 13,243 points at 07.11 GMT.

The UK's FTSE 100 index fell 0.37% to 7,047 points, and France's CAC 40 index climbed 0.46% to 6,273 points.

Spain's IBEX 35 index was down 0.06% to 7,916.50 points, while Italy's MIB 30 index dropped 0.27% to 22,529 points.

The euro/dollar parity was at 0.9942, down 0.21% from last week's close.
