European stock markets open Tuesday with gains

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock markets opened with gains on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600 index was up 1.1% to 416.8 points, while Germany’s DAX 40 index climbed 1.1% to 13,398.

The UK’s FTSE 100 index rose 1.45% to 7,195 points, and France’s CAC 40 increased 1.6% to 6,368.

Spain’s IBEX 35 index was up 0.76% to 8,020 points, while Italy’s MIB 30 index rose 0.55% to 22,652 points.

The euro/dollar parity was at 0.9940, down 0.6% from the previous close.
