European stocks close day in red

ISTANBUL (AA) - All major European markets closed Monday with losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, dropped 4.19 points, or 0.96%, to 433.17.

The UK'S FTSE 100 index closed the day at 7,533.79, down 16.58 points or 0.22%.

Germany's DAX 30 was down 2.23%, losing 313.95 points to reach 13,230.57.

Frances' CAC 40 decreased by 1.8% or 117.09 points to 6,378.74 points.

Italy's FTSE MIB lost 368.91 points, or 1.64%, at 22,165.66, while Spain's IBEX 35 was down 53.30 points, or 0.64%, to 8,284.80.
