European stocks close mixed
Consumption of natural gas down 20.1% in August-November, compared with average gas consumption during same period between 2017-2021

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock markets closed mixed on Tuesday.
Earlier, Eurostat said the EU consumption of natural gas dropped by 20.1% in the August-November period, compared with the average gas consumption for the same months between 2017 and 2021.
Consumption of natural fell the most in Finland with a 52.7% decline, followed by Latvia 43.2% and Lithuania 41.6%, the statistical office said.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 1.69 points, or 0.4%, at 424.18.
Germany's DAX 30 fell 58 points, or 0.42%, to end the session at 13,884. France's CAC 40 lost 22 points, or 0.35%, to close at 6,450.
The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, rose nine points, or 0.13%, to close at 7,370.
Italy's FTSE MIB increased 34 points, or 0.15%, to finish the second trading day of the week at 23,718.
Spain's IBEX 35 climbed 48 points, or 0.59%, 8,185 at the closing bell. It was the best performer of the day.
