European stocks close Monday in positive side

Major indices, excluding UK, close day with gains

ISTANBUL (AA) – Almost all European markets closed with gains on the first transaction day of the week.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, earned 3.33 points, or 0.72%, to close at 468.88 points on Monday.

The UK's FTSE 100 index ended at 7,464, slightly down 1.7 points, or 0.02%.

Germany's DAX 30 was up 0.99%, or 152.25 points, to reach 15,471 points.

France's CAC 40 increased 0.48%, or 33.32 points, to 6,999 points.

Italy's FTSE MIB was up 248.64 points, or 0.94%, to close at 26,814 points, and Spain's IBEX 35 earned 3 points, or 0.03%, to reach 8,612 points.

Major stock markets in Asia posted gains at Monday's close with Chinese markets on holiday for a week.

Turkiye's BIST 100 index closed at 2,003.20 points, up 1.01%.
