European stocks close Tuesday with losses

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock markets closed with losses on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 2.55 points, or 0.58%, to 438.92.

The UK’s FTSE 100 declined 46 points, or 0.61%, to finish the day at 7,521.

Germany’s DAX 30 fell 104 points, or 0.72%, to end the second trading day of the week at 14,343.

France’s CAC 40 lost 9 points, or 0.14%, to close at 6,687.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day by plummeting 282 points, or 1.15%, to 24,265.

Spain’s IBEX 35 dropped 38 points, or 0.46%, to 8,331 at the closing bell.
