European stocks close up with gains in industrial output
Annually, industrial production this September up 4.9% in euro area, 5.7% in EU

ANKARA (AA) - European stocks closed with gains on Monday as rises in industrial production boosted investor sentiment.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 0.6 points, or 0.14%, to 432.86.
The UK’s FTSE 100 was the best performer of the day, soaring 67 points, or 0.92%, to close at 7,385.
Germany’s DAX 30 jumped 88 points, or 0.62%, to finish the first trading day of the week at 14,313.
France’s CAC 40 added 14 points, or 0.22%, to end the day at 6,609.
Italy’s FTSE MIB rose 141 points, or 0.58%, to 24,596 at the closing bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35 gained 68 points, or 0.84%, to 8,166.
Industrial production rose 0.9% in both the euro area and the EU in September, compared with August, according to estimates from Eurostat, the EU statistical office.
On an annual basis, industrial production climbed 4.9% in the euro area and 5.7% in the EU, compared to last September.
