European stocks end Wednesday with over 1.3% gains

UK's FTSE 100 performs best, soaring 1.83%

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stocks closed Wednesday on a higher note as exchanges increased more than 1.3% apiece.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of European markets in 17 countries, rose 6.82 points, or 1.51%, to finish at 458.54.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the best performer of the day, soaring 133 points, or 1.83%, to end the session at 7,416.

Germany's DAX rose 232 points, or 1.47%, to 16,023. France's CAC 40 added 113 points, or 1.57%, to close at 7,333.

Italy's FTSE MIB, meanwhile, increased 490 points, or 1.75%, to 28,552.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 122 points, or 1.31%, to end the day at 9,453.
