Fenerbahce, Cukurova BK to vie for President's Cup

Turkish league champs and play-off finalist to compete for Women's Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup in Kayseri

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish league winner and Turkish Cup holder Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo will take on play-off finalist Gelecek Koleji Cukurova Basketbol on Wednesday, for the 27th Women's Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup.

The game between the two teams in Kayseri, central province in Turkey, will tip off at 18.00 local time (1500GMT) at the Kadir Has Dome.

The first Presidential Cup competition, kicked off in the 1992-93 season, and to date seven different teams have lifted the trophy.

Gelecek Koleji Cukurova Basketbol, a club based in Mersin, will play to clinch Presidential Cup for the first time in their history.

Fenerbahce have lifted 11 titles, in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Following Fenerbahce, Galatasaray won the title eight times with six times in a row.
