FETO terror group closes Sydney media office

Zaman Australia shuts print business in Sydney after Turks ditched support for FETO outlet

ANKARA (AA) - Hit by financial difficulty and plummeting interest from the Turkish community in Australia, the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) stopped printing Zaman Australia.

Local Turks canceled subscriptions and refused to give space to Zaman Australia in shops since the defeated coup attempt by FETO against the legitimately elected government led by President Tayyip Erdogan.

FETO is led by U.S.-based Fetullah Gulen, who is accused of orchestrating the failed coup of July 15, 2016 which left 251 people martyred and around 2,200 others wounded.

Turkey's government accuses the terror network of also being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.

Zaman Australia came to a financial impasse after decreasing interest from the Turkish community dried out advertisement revenues and forced the terror propaganda outlet to close its Auburn office in the greater Sydney area.

In addition, local Turks have also stopped enrolling their children in FETO schools which played an instrumental role in financing the terror network.

Financially-bleeding FETO still continues its operation under the umbrella of Australian Universal Federation (AUF).

The FETO network in Australia operates under five organizations: Sirius in Victoria, Amity in New South Wales, Fountain in Western Australia, Pinnacle in Southern Australia and Wisdom College in Queensland.
