FIVB Women's World Championship: Italy beats Turkey 3-0

Paola Egonu Italy’s top scorer once again as Italy now 4-0 in the tournament, while Turkey dropped to 2-2

ANKARA (AA) - Italy defeated Turkey 3-0 in FIVB Women's World Championship on Wednesday in Japan.

The fourth day action continues as Italy easily cruised to victory with 25-19, 25-21, 25-12 set wins over Turkey at Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center.

Paola Egonu was Italy’s top scorer once again as Italians are now 4-0 in the tournament, while Turkey dropped to 2-2.

Turkish women beat Canada and Bulgaria with 3-0 set wins in their first two matches, but were defeated to China and Italy with the same scores.

Turkey will take on Cuba on Thursday in their fifth match.
