Football: Besiktas take on Benfica in Champions League

Besiktas looking for victory and possible top spot in Group B

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's Besiktas take on Portugal's Benfica on Wednesday evening in Istanbul in the Champions League.

Currently in third place in Group B, Besiktas will look to get a much-needed victory in front of their fans.

Besiktas are currently unbeaten in 15 games in all competitions. They won nine times and drew six in the domestic league and in the Champions League.

Ricardo Quaresma and Vincent Aboubakar expected to be in the starting lineup.

The match on Besiktas's turf, Vodafone Arena, will start at 8.45 p.m. local time (1745GMT).

Besiktas fans will attempt to perform the world's first silent cheer at the start of the game.

Around 42,000 supporters will cheer using sign language in order to raise awareness against racism and also for the hearing impaired ahead of International Day of People with Disabilities on Dec. 3.
