Football: Denmark rout Gibraltar in UEFA 2020 qualifier

ANKARA (AA) - Denmark hammered Gibraltar 6-0 in Thursday's UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying group match.

Danish star of Tottenham Hotspur Christian Eriksen and Lech Poznan forward Christian Gytkjaer scored two goals each, while midfielder Robert Skov and Borussia Dortmund regular Thomas Delaney put the ball into Gibraltar net once.

Matchday five in the Euro 2020 qualifying stages began on late Thursday as nine matches were played in Group D, F, G and J.

In a Group J game, Greece were beaten by Finland 1-0, with a second half goal by Teemu Pukki, who converted the penalty successfully in the 52nd minute of the game at Tampere Stadium in Finland.

Meanwhile, Spain won against Romania 2-1 in Thursday's away match in Group F.

Spain's Sergio Ramos scored the opening goal at the 29th minute of the game. Spanish forward Paco Alcacer netted against Romania in the 47th minute as Spain had a comfortable lead in Bucharest.

However, Galatasaray's Romanian forward Florin Andone put the ball into Spain net in the second half, but his goal wasn't enough to even grasp a draw against European powerhouse Spain.

Gibraltar-Denmark: 0-6

Norway-Malta: 2-0

Faroe Islands-Sweden: 0-4

- Group G
