Football: Everton transfer Lucas Digne from Barcelona

ANKARA (AA) - French left-back Lucas Digne has signed a five-year deal with Everton, the club announced on Wednesday.

Digne, 25, won the La Liga and Ligue 1 titles with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, respectively.

“I want to show my best football here and discover the best league in the world. Everybody loves the Premier League. I am loving the fact I am coming here," Digne was quoted as saying in the club's statement.

Digne's transfer to Everton from Barcelona was completed for a fee of £18million ($23.6 million), BBC reported.
