Football: Galatasaray claim Ziraat Turkish Cup

ISTANBUL (AA) – Istanbul's Galatasaray have won the Ziraat Turkish Cup late Thursday, defeating city arch-rivals Fenerbahce 1-0 in the southern province of Antalya.

German wing forward Lukas Podolski offered the Lions the game winner, scoring the only goal of the final match in the 30th minute.

Galatasaray have now won the Turkish Cup 17 times in their history.
