Football: High-profile showdown in Super Lig

Fenerbahce aim fifth win in row, while Trabzonspor look to get their fourth consecutive in Super Lig

ANKARA (AA) - Trabzonspor will host Fenerbahce on Saturday in the week 20 of the Turkish Super Lig.

This highly-anticipated game will kick-off at 1700 GMT at Senol Gunes Stadium.

Fenerbahce managed to record a four-match winning series as they have 37 points in the second spot.

Trabzonspor are currently in fourth place, six points behind Lig Leaders Demir Grup Sivasspor, having 35 points in 18 games.

The last game between two teams ended 1-1 as the goals came from Caleb Ekuban and Garry Rodrigues at Ulker Stadium.

Fenerbahce's Kosovar forward Vedat Muriqi will be the one to watch for Trabzonspor, while Fenerbahce will have to watch out for Norwegian player Alexander Sorloth.

Muriqi, 25, produced 12 goals and scored 4 assists in 18 appearances as the 24-year-old Sorloth helped his team with 15 goals in 18 games to become the top scorer of Lig.

The Lig Leaders Sivasspor will seek to stay atop of table as they will play against Gaziantep FK on Sunday.

In Friday's match, Medipol Basaksehir will take on Genclerbirligi and Galatasaray will host Hes Kablo Kayserispor on Sunday.

Besiktas will seek to lift their morale with Caykur Rizespor triumph after they were beaten by Goztepe 2-1 in Izmir.

The Black Eagles will take the field for the first time under the helm of their new manager Sergen Yalcin.

Former Besiktas player Sergen Yalcin had inked a 16-month contract with Besiktas to replace Abdullah Avci.
