Football: Medipol Basaksehir lead Turkish Super League
Medipol Basaksehir stay on top of league with 27 points, while reigning champs Galatasaray come second with 23 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Istanbul's Medipol Basaksehir stayed on the top of Turkish Super Football League following the results of Matchday 12.
After beating Caykur Rizespor 2-1, Medipol Basaksehir led the league with 27 points, while reigning champions Galatasaray came second with 23 points, followed by Kasimpasa with 22 points in the third place.
In week 12, Galatasaray beat Kayserispor 3-0 in an away match while Fenerbahce defeated Aytemiz Alanyaspor 2-0 at home in Istanbul.
Fenerbahce were desperate for a win to stay close to league's top. Currently, the "Yellow Canaries" with 13 points are in the 13th place in the league, 14 points away from the leader.
Besiktas were defeated by Demir Grup Sivasspor 1-2 at home in Istanbul. "Black Eagles" are in the 7th place with 18 points.
