ANKARA (AA) - Spanish giants Real Madrid have dismissed rumors that the team agreed on a deal with Paris Saint Germain's French sensation Kylian Mbappe.
"Given the information published in the last few hours regarding an alleged agreement between Real Madrid C.F. and PSG for the player Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid would like to state that it is completely false," an official statement made by the club on Wednesday afternoon said.
"Real Madrid has not made any offer to PSG or the player and condemns the spreading of this type of information that has not been proven by the parties concerned," the statement read.
19-year-old Mbappe was transferred from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain on July 1, 2017 for a fee of €180 million.
Mbappe has been performing well in FIFA World Cup 2018, scoring three goals so far with his team advancing to quarter finals after eliminating Argentina.
