Football: Rizespor, Ankaragucu advance to Super Lig

Rizespor guarantee to finish 1st, Ankaragucu second as two teams clinch Super Lig berth

ANKARA (AA) - Ankaragucu and Rizespor on Saturday guaranteed to advance to Turkey's Super Lig beating their opponents in 1st League matches.

Ankaragucu defeated already relegated Manisaspor 3-0 to increase their points total 62, four better than Umraniyespor who lost to champions Rizespor 1-0.

Rizespor increased their points total to 66 and guaranteed to finish as champions in 1st League, booking their ticket to Super Lig.

Rizespor got relegated to 1st League last season, managed to re-advance to the Turkey's top league.

Ankaragucu, on the other hand, managed to return to Super Lig after six years, when the club was relegated on 2011/2012 season.
