ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's National Team Coach Fatih Terim on Wednesday announced Turkey's preliminary squad for Euro 2016.
Appearing on state-run TRT Spor TV channel, Terim said he will announce the 23-member final squad on May 31 for Euro 2016 finals, set to be held in France from June 10 to July 10.
Terim's squad includes a number of players from top Turkish football teams: 7 from Fenerbahce, 5 from Besiktas, and 4 from Galatasaray.
The preliminary squad of 31 players and their teams are as follows:
Goalkeepers: Volkan Babacan (Medipol Basaksehir), Onur Recep Kivrak (Trabzonspor), Ali Sasal Vural (Eskisehirspor), and Harun Tekin (Bursaspor)
Defenders: Gokhan Gonul, Sener Ozbayrakli, Caner Erkin and Mehmet Topal (Fenerbahce), Caglar Soyuncu (Altinordu), Hakan Kadir Balta and Semih Kaya (Galatasaray), Serdar Aziz (Bursaspor), Ismail Koybasi (Besiktas), Ahmet Yilmaz Calik (Genclerbirligi)
Midfielders: Selcuk Inan and Yasin Oztekin (Galatasaray), Emre Mor (Nordsjaelland), Ozan Tufan, Alper Potuk and Volkan Sen (Fenerbahce), Oguzhan Ozyakup, Olcay Sahan and Gokhan Tore (Besiktas), Hakan Calhanoglu (Bayer Leverkusen), Nuri Sahin (Borussia Dortmund), Mahmut Tekdemir (Medipol Basaksehir), Arda Turan (Barcelona)
