Football: Turkish Cup semifinals to kick off Tuesday

Fenerbahce to play against Trabzonspor, Yellow-Canaries eye semifinal victory after disappointing results in Super Lig

ANKARA (AA) - Fenerbahce will seek to boost their morale with a victory over Turkish Super Lig leaders Trabzonspor in first leg of the Ziraat Turkish Cup semifinals.

Tuesday's match will be played at 8.30 p.m local time (1730GMT) at Trabzonspor's home ground, Senol Gunes Stadium.

Trabzonspor moved into semifinals with comfortable wins over Erzurumspor, while Fenerbahce advanced to semifinals of Turkish Cup after eliminating lower division club Kirklarelispor.

Meanwhile, Fraport TAV Antalyaspor and Aytemiz Alanyaspor will fight for Turkish Cup final in Antalya derby on Wednesday.

The second legs of semifinals will be held on April 21-22, with the final game at Ataturk Olympic Stadium of Istanbul on May 5.
