Football: Turkish league title race at full throttle

Spor Toto Super Lig round 25 begins with Fenerbahce v Konyaspor; in-form Trabzonspor take on Galatasaray at home on Saturday

By Satuk Bugra Kutlugun

ANKARA (AA) - With only 10 matches left for each team in Turkey’s Spor Toto Super Lig, the title race continues full speed ahead with matches this weekend.

Fourth-place Fenerbahce will look to add to their two-game winning streak as they take on Atiker Konyaspor at home on Friday.

On Saturday, the spotlight will be on Medical Park Arena, as Trabzonspor -- who have not lost a match in 2017 -- will square off against third-place Galatasaray, who won their last two games at the last minute.

On Sunday afternoon, title-chasers Medipol Basaksehir will play against Kardemir Karabukspor at home, where they have not lost yet in 12 matches.

The week will end with league-leaders Besiktas -- who eliminated Olympiacos in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday to advance to the quarter-finals -- taking the floor against Antalyaspor in an away match.

Below is the schedule for the 25th match week (all times are local):
